MR. MARFIL'S LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
reviewed in School Library Journal, October 1991

An entertaining mystery in which two young detectives must match wits with the greedy Constance and her lackey of a husband, Seymour. The ones to solve the clues will be able to open the safe and claim the multi-million dollar inheritance. Students watch Part 1 as Jerry and Jenny obtain the clues and are pursued by Constance. After viewing this segment, students begin solving the four problems. Part 2 has the denouncement where Jerry and Jenny explain the solutions. Designed to be used with small groups of four or five, all clues are contained in booklets so students can just enjoy the video and not worry about notetaking. The teaching resource book will guide teachers through the problem-solving steps and the various ways to solve the four problems; it also includes supplementary problems. Math teachers looking for an entertaining supplementary learning experience will find this videokit just what the lesson plans prescribed.
